Dog Training Apprentice – Dog Daycare Attendant

Aligned with Mainstay Veterinary Practice Resort’s steadfast commitment to quality dog care, we are enhancing our contribution to the industry through our Dog Training Apprenticeship program. Recognizing the need for a comprehensive, balanced, and humane training methodology, we are implementing our own version of common dog training principles in our apprenticeship program to ensure well-rounded and skilled trainers who can effectively address a variety of canine behaviors.

This program is designed for individuals with a deep passion for dogs and a strong desire to learn. Through a thorough selection process, candidates are invited to apply for a comprehensive apprenticeship program designed to provide foundational knowledge and hands-on experience, preparing them for successful careers in dog training.

Our apprenticeship program features an extensive curriculum that combines theoretical learning with practical application. Throughout the program, students will master essential skills such as reading canine body language, developing handling techniques, mastering obedience training, learning behavior modification strategies, and much more. All our training and practices align with the high standards set by the International Association of Canine Professional (IACP), ensuring our apprentices are well-equipped to thrive in the field.

Dog Training Specialist – Dog Trainer

We’re looking for a talented Dog Training Specialist to join our team and play a vital role in achieving that goal.

In this role, you’ll assess the temperament and personality of our canine guests during training consultations. You’ll then design personalized training programs that incorporate structured socialization experiences, enriching activities, and balanced training techniques. Working collaboratively with pet owners, you’ll educate them on proper socialization methods, equip them with the skills to address behavioral concerns, and provide ongoing progress updates. Your excellent communication skills will be essential as you effectively interact with both pet owners and colleagues in individual and group settings.

Groomer

Do you have a passion for making furry friends look and feel their best? Mainstay Veterinary Practice Resort (MVPR) is seeking a highly experienced and talented Pet Groomer to join our team!

As part of a well-established 6-doctor veterinary practice with over 4,000 clients, MVPR offers exceptional pet care services, including grooming. In our brand new, state-of-the-art resort (completed in 2023!), you’ll have access to 4 spacious, custom-designed grooming tubs to ensure a comfortable and efficient work environment.

You’ll play a key role in shaping our success by delivering exceptional grooming services to our valued clients.
