Health Requirements

General

• • Pets must be in good health and free from contagious illness.
  • Pets with respiratory symptoms (coughing, discharge, etc.) will not be admitted.
  • Any illness developing during the stay will result in isolation and owner notification.
  • Pets must be current on flea/tick prevention.
  • Guests with fleas/ticks will be treated by our veterinary team at the owner’s expense.
  • Pets with chronic conditions (diabetes, seizures, heart disease, etc.) may require a veterinary exam within 30 days of boarding.
  • We do not board diabetic pets.
  • Post-surgery pets must have sutures/staples removed and be fully healed before booking.

Canine Requirements

• • Age: Must be over 6 months for daycare/boarding. Dogs over 12 years require a recent veterinary exam (within 1 month).
  • Spay/Neuter: Required for daycare.
  • Vaccines & Diagnostics:
    • Rabies
    • Distemper*
    • Leptospirosis*
    • Bordetella
    • Influenza (H3N8/H3N2)
    • Negative fecal test every 6 months
  • Puppies under 6 months: grooming allowed after 2 distemper vaccines; all vaccines required by 6 months.
  • *Denotes series — must be fully completed before attending.

Feline Requirements

• • Vaccines & Diagnostics:
    • Rabies
    • Distemper*
    • Negative fecal test every 6 months (one per multi-cat household if submitted together)
    • 1 lifetime FeLV/FIV negative test
